Youth Week 2015 is just around the corner, with Nelson Tasman Youth Agencies busy planning a swag of sweet events, activities and programmes. The week is a chance to celebrate and highlight the amazing things young people do all year round.
Applications are being accepted to join the Tasman Youth Council in 2015. If you are a young person, aged between 13-20 years, and have a passion to make Tasman a better place for youth, then we want to hear from you!
The Tasman Skatepark soared to new heights over the weekend, with Richmond fittingly hosting the concluding heat of the 2015 circuit. Going into the last stop, the leaderboard was still wide open across the three categories, with as many as seven riders still in contention to take top spot in their respective categories.
Much needed afternoon showers were not enough to hold back the fifth gig of the 2015 Tasman Skatepark Tour. It was Brightwater's turn to host an afternoon of extreme board, bike and scooter riding. Category leaders Reggie McDonald (skate), Kelsyn MacDonald (scooter) and Ryan Dando (bmx) were all in action, and went a long way towards solidifying their positions at the top of the leaderboard.
True to form, Motueka lived up to expectations with the spacious park hosting a bonanza of skate, scootering and bmx displays at the weekend. Local riders featured strongly throughout the prizegiving accolades, cleaning up in the junior and open bmx categories. Check out the results and leaderboard standings.
The epic action rolled on in Tapawera last night, as the third stop on the 2015 Tasman Skatepark Tour was once again greated with solid support from the Nelson Tasman skatepark fraternity.
Scorching summer temperatures was not the only thing cooking at the Takaka Skatepark on Saturday. The second stop on the 2015 Tasman Skatepark Tour rolled into Takaka town with more insane airs to delight the 200-strong local contingent.
