Calling all graphic novel fans! Sophus, our resident graphic novel encyclopaedia is going to be talking to any fans, aged 12-18, who want to come along. It's on at Richmond Library, this Thursday 24 September, at 3.45pm in the Constance Barnicoat room.

This workshop will help you create your needed item out of old items you can re-use, for example creative re-use of items like a tyre, glass bottle, suitcase, pallet, fabric scraps, old folders, whatever... We can show you how to create a seat, pet bed, storage space or whatever you know you need. Expertise and equipment provided, you bring your materials.

Youth Week 2015 is just around the corner, with Nelson Tasman Youth Agencies busy planning a swag of sweet events, activities and programmes. The week is a chance to celebrate and highlight the amazing things young people do all year round.
Applications are being accepted to join the Tasman Youth Council in 2015. If you are a young person, aged between 13-20 years, and have a passion to make Tasman a better place for youth, then we want to hear from you!
The Tasman Skatepark soared to new heights over the weekend, with Richmond fittingly hosting the concluding heat of the 2015 circuit. Going into the last stop, the leaderboard was still wide open across the three categories, with as many as seven riders still in contention to take top spot in their respective categories.
Much needed afternoon showers were not enough to hold back the fifth gig of the 2015 Tasman Skatepark Tour. It was Brightwater's turn to host an afternoon of extreme board, bike and scooter riding. Category leaders Reggie McDonald (skate), Kelsyn MacDonald (scooter) and Ryan Dando (bmx) were all in action, and went a long way towards solidifying their positions at the top of the leaderboard.
