Every year, the Tasman District Council provides scholarships of up to $200 each to students from within the Tasman District to participate in Youth Development or leadership opportunities. Applications must be received at least four weeks prior to the event taking place.
Every year, the Tasman District Council administer funding on behalf of Sport New Zealand to assist rural sports teams.
Sport NZ Rural Travel Fund is open to Rural Sports Clubs and Rural School Teams with young people aged between 5-19 years.
There are two funding rounds per year, with applications closing the last day in April and October. The funding can be used towards travel costs for local sports competitions.
Every year, the Tasman District Council administers funding on behalf of Creative New Zealand to assist and enhance in the participation of local arts projects, iniatives and performances.
There are three funding rounds each year, closing 10 March, 10 July, and 10 November.
The Tasman District Council allocates $164,000 of its general rate income for grants to organisations who provide community-wide benefits to the district.
The Youth & Children category is available to organisations that offer community-based programmes for children and youth, with a social, educational or recreational focus.
Appllications can be made once each year.
